The Music Centennial Gala Concert by the Columbia University Orchestra, conducted by George Rothman, included piano soloist Russell Sherman (CC 1949) playing the Beethoven "Emperor" Concerto.

 

"Music at Columbia Today"

"Music at Columbia Today" was presented as a live exhibit of thought, performances, and compositions by undergraduate and graduate students. Shown here are Columbia undergraduates Lisa Nahley, violin; Richard Wu, viola; Laura Freilich, 'cello; and Xi Lun Chen, piano, performing a movement from the Fauré Piano Quartet No. 1 in C minor.
