Divre yeme Napolyon.
Manuscript in Hebrew on paper.
Germany, 1821.
MS X893 H62
Rare Book and Manuscript Library

Napoleon's victories in Europe affected many individuals whose stories have been lost from history.  This short narrative tells the story of the French Revolution from the perspective of a Jewish man from Germany.  The author also describes his own brush with Napoleonic authorities, when he was arrested in Frankfurt as a suspected German spy.

Gift of Richard J. H. Gottheil.
