[International Justice]

William Gropper

Late 1940s/early 1950s

Box 17, Folder 7

Dennis Ryan Editorial Cartoon Collection

In this drawing, William Gropper adequately expressed the feelings of many Jews, a great number of which had fled Nazi Europe for America, or were coming anew as survivors of the Holocaust.  Titled “International Justice” in Yiddish this drawing shows the war crimes tribunal at Nuremberg finally beginning its trials to dispense justice for the atrocities perpetrated by the Nazis during the Second World War.
