Even Columbia President Nicholas Murray Butler’s speech was translated to Yiddish! This pamphlet shows that his lecture at the Commercial Club in St. Louis, MA was considered interesting enough to Jewish audiences for Samuel M. Kaplan and Yoel Rosenthal to create a version for Yiddish speakers.
