The Starr Foundation
The Starr Foundation was established in 1955 by C.V. Starr. Soon after Starr's 1968 death, Ta Chun (T.C.) Hsu, became President (1969) and remained in that position until 1999. Here he is shown at the opening of the C.V. Starr Pavilion, New York Hospital in 1984.
The Foundation makes grants in a number of prioritized areas, including Education, Medicine and Healthcare, Human Needs, Public Policy, Culture, and The Environment.
