Mirra Ginsburg was born in Bobruisk. Her parents, Bronia and Joseph Ginsburg, were two of the founders of the Bund organization there. In 1923, the family left for Libava and in 1926 they emigrated to Montreal. In 1930, the Ginsburgs settled down in New York.
