Typography > The Marriage of Heaven and Hell
This “reading and study” of Blake’s epic visual poem pays tribute to Blake as poet and artist, and also as publisher and visionary. Philip Gallo’s typography (combining Eurostile, Trump Semi-bold Condensed, Impact Open, and Template Gothic) reminds us that Blake used etched plates rather than foundry type in his own books while stylistically departing from Blake’s wispy letterforms. Text designed and printed letterpress by Philip Gallo at The Hermetic Press. Bound by Daniel E. Kelm and staff at the Wide Awake Garage in an edition of 41.
