Construction and Evolution of Union Theological Seminary Campus

Professor's Suites

An apartment house for professors to be located on Claremont Avenue was approved at a cost not to exceed $200,000. The funds for this were to be taken from the sale of the buildings on Park Avenue. This building would later become known as Knox Hall.

James Chapel, named in honor of D. Willis James and not pictured in this set of photographs, was separated from the president's house to the south and the apartment house to the north, for the refectory and Dickinson Hall were not added until later.
