Reprints, Reissues, Reimaginings > Four Poems
Pierre Joris’s translations and Barbara Fahrner’s etchings bring out the quietness and foreboding of these four poems by Paul Celan. Each poem appears handwritten in both German and English, one in each of four accordion fascicles that folds out like a Japanese book rather than a European codex. The four books fit neatly into a box lined in dark sober fabric.
