Perceptions of War > Army@Love

Army@Love. Rick Veitch and Gary Erskine, 2007-.

Butler PN6727.V45 A76 2007g v. 1

In the satiric tradition of Catch-22 and “Dr Strangelove, or how I stopped worrying and learned to love the bomb,” Veitch posits an endless war in the Middle Eastern country of Afbaghistan.  American troops have been stretched so thin that the administration hires a corporate marketing guru, who remakes the military as a kind of bacchanalian spring break with guns.  Veitch presents soldiers whose souls are so compromised by the corporate dog-and-pony show that they're virtually unaware of the consequences of their actions.
