This illuminated manuscript of Ovid’s Metamorphoses on vellum and paper was acquired by Columbia’s Rare Book and Manuscript Library in 2011. It was probably produced in Bohemia during the second half of the fifteenth century. Its colors (pink, green, and light blue) and decoration (scrolling foliage) suggest that it was created at or around the royal workshops of Prague. Subheadings have been written in illuminated capital letters. It contains first three of the fifteen books of the text.
