The President's Committee on the Contemporary Civilization Courses in Columbia College: Report to the President
In 1960, political scientist and soon-to-be College Dean David Truman sounded the alarm over CC staffing shortages. The Committee identified a lack of resources and professional incentives for chronic problems staffing CC-A and CC-B, which in turn led to low morale among faculty and students.
